To customize the splash screen for GIMP, it is sufficient to go to put our image in the dir / usr/share/gimp/2.0/images
We do our image, renamed gimp-splash.png and restarts, we gimp our beautiful image.
There are many examples of splashscreen for gimp, but I am made me a custom.
To do this I used Blender for the cube and gimp for images and text. all with ease and speed.
